NORWICH – Esther L. Walker, 54, of Norwich, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Esther was born on April 22, 1958 in New Berlin, the daughter of Edward and Edith Johnson Kline. She attended the Norwich schools and soon after her education gained employment with the Norwich Shoe Co. Over the years Esther had worked for Shop-Vac and most recently had been employed by CWS.
Esther enjoyed things of nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed her birds, working in her garden, raising flowers and the beach. Also her interests included making trips to the casino and eating out.
On Nov. 30, 1985 in Norwich she married Brian Walker, who survives.
Besides her husband Brian, Esther is survived by her sisters Mary Knapp and husband Clarence of Sherburne, Edith Wilbur of Norwich; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Walker Gray and husband Tim; her nieces and nephews, Ryan and Meghan Gray, Frank Dunham and wife Lynne, Bonita Scott, James Dunham, Chad Dunham and wife Heather, Annette Densmore and husband Joe and Jessica Redfield and husband Tom along with 15 great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her mother-in-law Evelyn Walker and her feline friends Sadie and Jasper.
Esther was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Edith Kline, and her father-in-law, Frank Walker.
It was Esther’s request that there be no formal funeral service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
