NORWICH – Millicent A. Kingsbury, 80, formerly of North Norwich, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 at the Valley View Manor Nursing Home, where she had resided since 2001.
She was born Nov. 5, 1926 in Norwich, a daughter of William F. and Julia Loomis Marks and received her education in local schools. On Dec. 25, 1945, Millicent was united in marriage to Harold D. Kingsbury. He predeceased her on Jan. 12, 1991. Mrs. Kingsbury was a life-long area resident and had worked at TACO in Sherburne for over 10 years until her retirement. She was dearly loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her children: Gary and Judy Kingsbury of Waterville; Thomas and Velma Kingsbury of New Berlin; Janet and Gerald Horton of Sherburne; Sandra and Victor Mikalunas of Morrisville; Jean and Dean Mikalunas of Sherburne; Sally and Paul Ewen of Oxford; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and John Fritzvoid of Virginia; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Cummings and a brother, James Phalean.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne,
