NORWICH – Myrtie M. Werlau, 81, of Norwich, passed away Jan. 14, 2007 in Cooperstown.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1925 in New Berlin, the daughter of Hubert “Doc” and Harriett (Mathewson) Holdridge. She was a graduate of New Berlin Central School and CCBI of Utica. Myrtle was employed as Deputy Treasurer and Budget Officer for the County of Chenango in Norwich.
Myrtie was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Werlau, on July 24, 2006.
She is survived by her sisters: Helen (Sally) Swertfager of New Berlin, Christina Phinny of Elizabethtown, and Phyllis Tricome of Clay. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles John Anderson and Raymond Anderson Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin. Rev. Charles Taylor of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, New Berlin, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, New Berlin.
There will be no calling hours.
