SMYRNA – Edna Irene MacDowell, age 89, of 158 Lake St., Saranac Lake, died peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Smyrna.
 Mrs. MacDowell was born March 17, 1917 at the Weaver Apple Orchard, Schuyler Falls, one of 15 children born to Herbert and Stella (Blair) Morrow. She was married to the late Bruce MacDowell who predeceased her March 25, 1998.
 She is survived by four children: Pamela Ann Simmons of Smyrna, Gary Bruce MacDowell of Dryden, Jon Wallace MacDowell of Bloomingdale, and David Scott MacDowell of Saranac Lake; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two brothers: Frederick Morrow of Saranac Lake and Vernon Morrow of Bloomingdale. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Services will take place at the convenience of the family
