GREENE – Celia J. Beckwith, 85, of Phoenix (formerly Greene), NY, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Terri Beckwith on Nov. 24, 2012.
Celia was born in Binghamton in 1927. She was a homemaker. Celia was also a fine musician, a singer, pianist, and played the cello. She was also a collector of antiques and an avid gardener. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Gerald F. Beckwith in 2004; a daughter, Betty Salmon in 2006; and a brother, Buz Finch.
Surviving are her children, Janet Frost, Marilyn (Hugh) Crawford, Terri Beckwith (James VonHoltz), Douglas (Jody) Beckwith, Gerry “Pete” (Sherrie) Beckwith; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
