NORWICH – Dorothy Spano, 81, of Norwich, passed away Friday afternoon, Dec.13, 2012 at her home.
Dorothy was born on Sept. 14, 1931 in Yorkville, NY the daughter of Joseph and Anna Aukner Hostomsky. She lived most of her life in the New York City and Huntington, LI areas before moving to Norwich in 1997.
On April 27, 1963 in Yorkville, she married William Spano, who passed away July 10, 2006.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Kathy Ketchum and husband Clifton of Norwich, Dorothy Guppy and husband Michael of Medford; her sister AnnMarie Higgins of Manhattan; and her grandchildren Yvette Smith, Nicholas and Thomas Weckesser, Jacqueline, Michael and Amanda Guppy along with five great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Dorothy will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Mt. Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
