SHERBURNE – Leonard F. Gurecki, 81, formerly of Sherburne, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at the Chittenango Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Chittenango.
Leonard was born June 5, 1931 in Hazelton, Pa., a son of John and Julia Gurecki. He was a graduate of local schools and SUNY Oswego. Leonard was an elementary school teacher at Sherburne-Earlville Central School until retiring in 1989. He had been a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Norwich, where he served as a lector and Eucharistic minister for many years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Norwich at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums, Pa.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
