NORWICH – Patricia E. Morrell (Farrell-Szakats), 78, of Falmouth, Mass. died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 after a long illness.
Patty, formerly of Norwich and Kissimmee, Fla., was born on Dec. 14, 1933 to the late Edward and Helen Farrell. She was preceded in death by her sisters Alice Burns and Nancy Farrell and her husbands JR Szakats and William Morrell.
Patty is survived by the love of her life, Kevin Kay (Falmouth), her beloved children, Nancy Szakats (Albany, NY), Lee Szakats (New Orleans, LA), Elaine Szakats (Albany, NY), Paul Szakats (Elaine O’Connell) (Albany, NY), Chris Szakats (Brenda Whelan) (Osteen, FL), and Tim Szakats (West Palm Beach, FL); her adored grandchildren, Evan, Christian, and Julia; her sister Helen Dillon (Falmouth, MA), brothers James Farrell (Portland, NY) and Thomas Farrell (Oxford, NY). She also leaves behind many adored nieces and nephews.
Patty’s family would like to recognize the efforts of Dr. Victor Aviles and his staff for the care and concern extended to Patty over the past two years.
