NORWICH – Lucy J. Miles, 80, of Grove Avenue, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at her home with her family at her side.
Born in Norwich on May 21, 1932, Lucy was the daughter of John and Rose (Ferro) Paino. She was a graduate of Norwich High School and an active member of St. Bartholomew’s Church. Lucy enjoyed crocheting and reading and will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.
On July 24, 1954, in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Lucy married Richard C. Miles, who died on Dec. 5, 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Reynolds and her husband, James; her granddaughter, Megan Reynolds and grandson, Shane Reynolds, all of Norwich; two very special nieces, which she thought of as daughters, Patricia Horton of Norwich and Denise Bardoni of Chicago and several nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard J. Miles as well as two sisters and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 at St. Bartholomew’s Church with Rev. Ralph Bove, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Paul’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
