Patricia Kohls


NORWICH – Patricia Ann (Patty) Kohls, 80, a longtime Norwich resident, passed away Monday evening, March 4, 2013, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Patty was born on July 27, 1932 in Salvisa, Kentucky, the daughter of Jack Allin and Myrtle Knutson. On Sept. 4, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin, she married Robert Kohls.
Patty is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Kohls of Norwich; her children. Holly Brightman and husband Gary of Norwich, Heather DeLorme and husband Bill of Binghamton, Todd Kohls and wife Sandy of New Orleans and Lisa Sacharuk and husband Greg of Hendersonville, TN; her sister Suzanne Cecil and husband Garry of CA ;and her grandchildren Gregory, Scott, Carter, Grant, Cole, Lauren, Abi, Katie and Amanda. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Christopher and Ainsley and a close family friend, Jim Jenkins of Norwich.
Patty was predeceased by her brother, Phil Allin.
Patty loved to sing and was a great dancer. She loved her grandchildren, was a good cook and enjoyed a houseful of company.
A funeral service for Patty will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 11 a.m. from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Anderson will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.

Patty’s family is thankful for the loving care she received from the aides at the Norwich Rehabilitation Center, where she has made her home for the past several years.
