SHERBURNE – Jorgen Hartmann, 74, of Knapp Rd., formerly of Queens, NY, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born May 10, 1939 in Copenhagen, Denmark, a son of Valdemar and Else Jensen Hartmann. He was educated in Denmark, receiving his Master’s Degree in Printing. Jorgen married Judith M. Pousont in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 21, 1986. Jorgen was a lithographic printer at the Mid York Press in Sherburne and C.L. Hutson in Utica until his retirement. Following that, he worked at Kenyon Press in Sherburne. He was a skilled woodworker and a handyman who could fix anything.
Surviving are his wife, Judith; children, Lise Napolitano and Jens Hartmann; and a granddaughter, Nicole. He was predeceased by a brother, Jens Hartmann.
In keeping with his wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
Interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
