PHARSALIA – Graveside services for Marjorie McCarthy, 90, who passed away June 17, 2013 at the New York State Veterans Home, will be held at noon on July 13 from the Deer Pond Cemetery of North Pharsalia.
Marge was born in Pharsalia on May 22, 1923 the daughter of Ralph and Martha Hilsinger Bauder. She lived her entire life in the Norwich - Pharsalia area. A licensed beautician, Marge had owned and operated her own beauty salon in Norwich for many years. On Nov. 28, 1950 in Norwich she married Vernon R. “Mac” McCarthy who passed away Nov. 21, 2012.
Marge is survived by her grandchildren, Brian Rink, Janine Schreck, Dennis Rink and wife RoseAnn, Jon-Paul Rink and wife Gina, all living in PA; and a granddaughter-in-law, JoAnne Rink of SC. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Besides her husband Mac, Marge was predeceased by her daughter Yvonne Carol Rink, her grandson Daniel Rink and her brother Richard Bauder.
Arrangements are by the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home.
