HOWARD TURNER
SHERBURNE – Howard Rex Turner, 84,
of Hot Springs, AR, passed away on July 15,
2013. Howard was born in Sherburne, NY
on September 20, 1928 to Harold Turner and
Elizabeth Knapp Turner. After serving in
the U.S. Army he attended Clarkson College
of Technology (now Clarkson University)
and graduated with a bachelor degree in
electrical engineering. Howard married
Doris (Doe) Jones on July 11, 1953. Howard
and Doe resided in Pennsylvania, California,
Illinois and Arkansas. Howard spent most of
his career working in the steelmaking and
forging industries and before retirement was
President of Rockford Drop Forge in Rockford, IL.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Alice, brother
Duane, and wife Doe. He is survived by his brother Donald Turner of
Earlville, NY, and children Sharon Hopkins of York, PA, Douglas
Turner of Hot Springs, AR, Martha Robin Goode of Arkansas City, KS,
and Jay Turner of St. Louis, MO, and their families, including four
grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on July 22 from the
Henderson Funeral Home in Belleville, PA. A service will follow with
Pastor Bill King of West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church officiating.
