SHERBURNE – Mark E. Cunningham, 64, of New Turnpike Rd., passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
He was born October 4, 1948 in Norwich, a son of the late Donald and Dorothy Walker Cunningham, and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. On August 7, 1971, Mark married Patricia Schader in Sherburne. A lifelong resident of Sherburne, Mark was a self-employed auto mechanic, general contractor, carpenter and truck driver. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors and B model Mack Trucks. He was a communicant of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Paul Rainford of Sherburne; sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Bob Wright of Sherburne; Margaret and Art Boice of Norwich; brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Cunningham of Hopatcong, NJ; Paul and Sharon Cunningham of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Tristan; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from St. Malachy’s Church, East State St., Sherburne.
Interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
Friends are invited to call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
