OXFORD – Joyce A. Rowe, of Joliet, Illinois, formerly of Oxford passed away on Feb. 3, 2007 at Edward Hospital, Naperville, Ill.
She was born on June 17, 1938 in Floral Park, the daughter of the late Frederick and Elsie (Rietheimer) Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Amy Rowe Munson of Easton, Pa., Jeff and Michelle Rowe of Pulaski, Jon Rowe of Oxford and Carrie and James Robb of McDonough; her grandchildren, Alex and Elsa Munson, Ashley, Mark and Sean Rowe, Allison Vigus and Noah Robb; her brother and sister in law Howard and Helen Morgan of Reading, Pa. and her friend and companion, Samuel Tocci of Joliet, Ill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Joyce received her nursing degree at Walton Hospital in 1973. She received her B.S. degree in education from SUNY in 1959. She received her master’s degree in 1978 from Syracuse University in Health Administration. She was a member of the American Health Information Management Assn. and listed in Who’s Who in the Midwest in 1985.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with the Rev. Allen C. Lang, pastor of the United Church of Oxford officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
