OTSELIC – Esther Florence Jordan Miles went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Florida. She spent most of her lifetime in Otselic, NY, and was employed and retired from TACO, in Sherburne, NY.
Esther was born April 17, 1914 in Pennsylvania to Beatrice and Clyde Jordan. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Lavern, and youngest son, Douglas Miles.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother to her daughter, Ruth Girndt of Williamsville, NY.; son, Ray and daughter-in-law Linda Miles of New Berlin NY; daughter, Beatrice and son-in-law Asa Crandall of Norwich NY; daughter, Marie and son-in-law Alden Wightman of St. Cloud, Florida; son, Leslie Miles of Otselic, NY; and daughter, Mable and son-in-law, David Warren of Cisco, Illinois. She also has 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY.
Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic, NY.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, South Otselic Fire Dept., or Valley View Cemetery Association.
