ROBERT GALLO, SR.
Sadly, on Nov. 9, 2013 at 12:05 am we lost our husband, dad, and hero Robert (Bob) Gallo, Sr. after a long tough battle with cancer.
Bob was born on April 3, 1951 in North Bergen, NJ the son of Martin (Sonny) and Margaret Smith Gallo. He made his home in North Bergen where he had worked for the Town of Bergen Highway Dept. as a truck driver. In 1995 he came to the Norwich area where he has made his home ever since. He had been employed for a brief period of time for the Town of Afton Highway Dept.
On Sept. 28, 2013 in Norwich he married Kathy Wormuth Gallo who survives. Besides his wife Kathy of Norwich, Bob is survived by his children Winnie Donnelly of Norwich, DeAnn Mundy of Norwich, Patti Gallo of Hanover, PA, Robin Mirabito of Norwich and Rob Gallo, Jr. also of Norwich along with many grandchildren. A special thanks to Shawn Burke and Michael Mirabito both of Norwich for sticking by him until the end.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Sonny and Margaret Gallo and his beautiful granddaughter Marlee-Mae Gallo that he will now be reunited with.
Bob was loved by all that met him and will be missed by so many people who’s lives he touched.
A funeral service for Bob will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at noon from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph Hinman of Norwich will officiate.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
