BAINBRIDGE – Douglas E. Fairchild, 51, of Bainbridge, went to be with his Lord from Wilson Memorial Hospital, Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Fairchild; three sons, David A. Fairchild, Daniel E. Fairchild and Terry Rice, all of Bainbridge; four grandchildren, Madison Fairchild, Ashley Voight, Zachary and Schuyler Rice; his mother, Shirley Fairchild, Harpursville; his father and his wife, John and Jenny Fairchild, Georgia; a sister, Wendy Miller, Bainbridge; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Fairchild, Apalachin, Edward and Deborah Fairchild, Harpursville, and William and Eileen Fairchild, Horseheads.
Douglas was a former employee of Norwich Aero, Norwich. He was a corpsman in the U.S. Navy and loved to go hunting with his brothers. Douglas along with his wife, Lorraine, were avid gem collectors.
