EARLVILLE – Connie M. VonBank, 67, of Route 12B, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the home of her son, Michael, in Earlville, following a battle with cancer.
She was born March 4, 1940 in Poolville, a daughter of Lynn and Claira Beech Blair and received her education in local schools.
Connie along with her son Mike and late husband Karl operated VonBank’s Body Shop in Earlville since 1970. Connie loved gambling, bowling, hunting, fishing, vacations with family and friends and trips to LasVegas. She was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in Earlville on March 10, 2007.
Surviving are her son Michael VonBank and his fiancee’ Tammy Thornington; her granddaughter Karlee Paulina VonBank and step-grandson Jacob Roach, all of Earlville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lynn Blair of Sherburne, Dick and Joan Blair of Verona; a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and John Griffin of Durhamville; nieces and nephews, Lisa and Jason Griffin of Durhamville; Vicky and Nicky Blair and Bobby Blair, all of Verona.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville. Interment will be held in the spring in the Earlville Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
