PLYMOUTH – Lee Connelly, 64, of Old County Road 16, Rhapsody Farm, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.
She was born in Roslyn on Aug. 30, 1942, a daughter of the late Aaron and Ellen Krantz. Her father was known as the “Flying Diavalo” of the Gates Flying Circus, where he was a stunt pilot and wing walker. Her mother was an opera singer. Lee graduated from Rosyln High School, Penn Hall University, Pa., and trained as an equestrian in England, Italy and Spain. She taught at Foxcroft College and later at BOCES in Huntington, until her retirement. Following her retirement, she stayed very active, working for the U.S. Census Bureau and the Chenango Senior Center. Lee loved wildlife and animals and contributed much of her time and money to the cause, like the SPCA and the Swamp Conservancy.
Surviving is her husband of 24 years, William C. (Bill) Connelly.
Friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Services will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
