SOUTH OTSELIC – John L’Hommedieu, 78, passed away Saturday evening, March 17, 2007 in Peoria, Ariz. He was born and lived in South Otselic for most of his life. On Jan. 3, 1951, he went into the Army and when he returned home he joined the families propane gas business.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Lucille and sister Jeanne. He is survived by his wife Marion of 27 years, his children Denise (Dick) Bushnell of Cortland, Randy (Korrine) L’Hommedieu of Truxton, and Michelle (Chris) McDonald of Cincinnatus. His grandchildren Jennifer, Desiree, Kerri-Kai, Brendan, Connor, Daniel, Renee, Justin, Cody and two great grandsons. Also surviving his brother Harry (Norma) of Altamont, Richard (Elaine) of Florida and one sister Dorothy (Bob) Hall of Norwich and several nieces and nephews.
John has donated his body to Science Care, a celebration of his life is planned at a later date. Contributions may be made to the American Legion Post in South Otselic.
Though it broke our hearts to lose you, you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God called you home.
