COLUMBUS – Donald W. Wheeldon, affectionately known as “Bear,” 39, of Columbus went home to the Lord on Sunday March 25, 2007.
He was born Sept. 5, 1967 in Utica the son of Clifford Jr. and Barbara (Slentz) Wheeldon.
Curtis Lumber in New Berlin employed Donald. He was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing including ice fishing, and gardening. Closest to his heart were his children, and his adored grandmother, Ruth Slentz.
Donald is survived by his mother Barbara Wheeldon; his father, Clifford Wheeldon Jr. and his wife, Eileen; his children Ashton and Dalton Wheeldon; his significant other Jodi Cordell and children Chelsea Klotz and Zachary Cordell; his sister’s Terri Wheeldon, Jennifer Wagner and husband Terry; niece Cassidy Wagner; and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Columbus Community Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steve Reese officiating. Calling hours are from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
