EARLVILLE – Maxion R. “Max” Clark, 72, of Abbott Ave., passed away Monday, April 2, 2007 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY.
Born January 13, 1935 in Norwich, he was a son of Ralph M. and Olga J. Chase Clark. He was a graduate of Earlville High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. On August 13, 1958, Max was married to Bonnalyn A. Burdick in Melrose, PA.
Mr. Clark worked for the New York State Department of Corrections at Camp Georgetown and Midstate Corrections for 26 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Sherburne and the American Legion Post #236 of Earlville.
Surviving is Bonnalyn, his wife of 48 years; his children, Terry DeLude of Utica; Mark and Amy Clark of Earlville; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey DeLude, Gregory and Amanda Clark.
In keeping with Max’s wishes, services will be private and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Community Memorial Hospital, 150 Broad St., Hamilton, NY 13346; or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County, 21 Hayes St., Norwich, NY 13815.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
