NORWICH – Funeral services for Mary Famolaro were held on Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Apostle St. Bartholomew. Rev. Douglas Cunningham, pastor, celebrated a Mass of Resurrection.
Mass began with Mary’s daughters, Julia Taylor, Mary Rita Dundon, Antoinette Dennis and Joan Whiting placing the baptismal pall upon the casket. The readings were proclaimed by grandchildren Carol Langille, Miranda Costin and Christine Towner. The offertory gifts were presented by sons, Frank and Bart Famolaro. Mary Ann Bodiot served as the Eucharistic Minister while Miranda and Mark Costin were the altar servers.
The organist for the service was Patricia Houghton and the soloist was Bertha DeFonzo.
Burial took place in St. Paul’s Cemetery with Father Cunningham offering the committal prayers. The casket bearers were Matt Langille, Jim Dennis Jr., Erica Dennis, Doug Costin, Tony Biviano and Mike Famolaro.
The arrangements were under the direction of the Wilson Funeral Home.
