NORWICH – Viola G. Pearsall, 81, former resident of Peacock Manor Apartments and Preston Manor, passed away Saturday evening, April 21, 2007 in the Gilmour Health Care Facility of Norwich.
Viola was born May 15, 1925 in Sangerfield the daughter of Walter and Sarah Meade Irwin. She grew up in the Stamford area where she attended their local schools. Over the years Viola had worked in Oneonta as a waitress in many of the area’s restaurants. In 1973 she came to the Norwich - Oxford area and in 1977 became a resident of Peacock Manor Apts. where she would make her home until May of 2004.
Viola is survived by her children Stewart Pearsall, Sr. of Oxford, Geraldine Lints of Norwich, Raymond (Skeeter) Pearsall and wife Loraine of Gilboa, Jane Olszewski and husband of Delhi and Jean Cartwright of Norwich, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother William Irwin and his family of Roxbury along with several nieces and nephews.
Viola was predeceased by her husband Raymond J. Pearsall and several sisters and brothers.
Private graveside services for Viola will be held at the Stamford Cemetery at a later date.
