WOLCOTT – Anna (Milan) DeRoose, 87, passed away on June 17, 2006.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Irma DeRoose of Sherburne, 11 nieces & nephews and their extended families. She will be remembered as a good and loving mother, aunt and friend to all who knew her.
Anna was born in Lyons on March 27, 1919. She spent her early years in the Hunts Corners region of the Town of Gallen. She traveled to Wolcott and became a waitress at the Knob Restaurant, where she met her husband, Camille DeRoose. She and Camille were the first couple married at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church on Nov. 1, 1941. Anna and Camille spent much of their lives on Slyburg Road, finally moving to Wolcott in October 1979.
Friends called Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Colvin-Robertson-Norton Funeral Home, Wolcott. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Wolcott. Interment will be in the Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to WAVAC, the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes.
