NORWICH –Robert A. Mueller, 47, of Norwich, passed away Friday, July, 13, at his home.
Bob was born July, 10, 1960 in Norwich the son of George R. and Helen Ann (Chmielewski) Mueller Sr. He spent his entire life in Norwich and was a graduate of the Norwich High School. Following his graduation. Bob furthered his thirst for education and knowledge by attending the University of Buffalo and Emory Riddle University in Daytona Beach, earning his engineering degree. Putting his keen mind to work, Bob set out to use his knowledge working for about 18 years as an engineer for Unison Industries in Norwich, then on to Norwich Aero Products and most recently Amphenol in Sidney.
Aside from his working career, Bob was a well rounded and likable guy. He had a great sense of humor, was a good friend to many and could not say no to anyone. With his sense of humor he had a way to “tweak” his friends. Bob was a long time member and current Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E. #1222 of Norwich having worked on many of the lodges projects. To relax in his “spare” time, Bob truly enjoyed pheasant hunting, golfing, down hill skiing, fishing, hunting and bowling.
Bob is survived by his mother Helen Mueller of Binghamton, his twin sister Rita Mueller of Syracuse and his brother and sister-in-law George and Leslie Mueller of Syracuse. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews Jason, Jeremy, Jennifer and Elizabeth Mueller, Daniel and Andrew Kunzinger, his companion Velma Diamond and many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Funeral services for Bob will be held on Thursday, July 19, at 7 p.m. from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen Reese, Pastor of the Columbus Community Church will officiate. Committal services will be held on Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. from the Poolville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-6 p.m.. Note: members of Norwich Elks Lodge #1222 will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
