HILA ECCLESTON
 SHERBURNE – Hila O. Eccleston, 79, of State Highway 80, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Grandeville Senior Living Community, Rochester.
She was born June 28, 1928 in Norwich, a daughter of Albert and Anna Stone and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. Hila married Herbert Eccleston, who predeceased her in 1983. Mrs. Eccleston had been a clerk for the NYS Division of Motor Vehicles in Norwich, and later was a senior library assistant for the Sherburne-Earlville Central School until her retirement. She had also worked at Lewis’ Restaurant in Sherburne for many years.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Ellen Eccleston of Underhill Center, Vermont; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheryn and Robert Dunham of Rochester and Robyn Eckerman of Warrensville, N.C.; a brother, Aubrey Stone; many grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Ronald Eccleston predeceased her in 1985.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m., to noon prior to the service.
