EARLVILLE – William C. Davey, Jr., 80, of Downingtown, PA, formerly of Earlville, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the Coatesville Veterans Administration Medical Center, Cain Twp., PA.
Born in Earlville, he was a son of the late William C., Sr. and Zelda Davey. His wife, Doris Andrews Davey predeceased him on February 25, 1990. Mr. Davey was a resident of the Downingtown area most of his life. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a paratrooper. He was a tree surgeon and the owner-operator of Davey Equipment Service for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler.
Surviving are two sons, Kevin W. Davey of Downingtown, PA and Jonathan E. Davey of Coatesville, PA; a daughter, Lucinda Davey of Chevy Chase, MD; a brother, Edwin Davey of Earlville; a sister, Mary Jane Palmer of Earlville; 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Davey.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
