GERMAN – George W. Likens, 67, of German, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 20, 2007 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. 
He was born on Aug. 26, 1939 in Landville, West Virginia the son of the late William Jasper and Viola (Williamson) Likens. On Feb. 13, 1963 he married Rosa DeForest, who passed away March 30, 2004.
He is survived by his children, David and Dianna Conklin of German, Allen and Elna Conklin of German, Darlene and David Stinard of Greene, Will Likens of German and Dennis Likens of New Orleans, La.; his brothers, Orville Likens, Jerry Likens, Terry Likens, Eugene Likens and Albert Likens all of West Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was a long time delivery driver for the The Evening Sun in Norwich.  He enjoyed watching western movies and using his computer. He also liked to go to garage sales.
 Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. 
The family invites everyone to the home of Allen and Elna Conklin in German for a time of food and fellowship.
