Marcia Coughlin


 SHERBURNE – Marcia M. Coughlin, 85, of Pleasant Valley Road, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
She was born May 6, 1922 in Columbus, a daughter of Addison and Harriet Hill and received her education in local schools. On Oct. 6, 1946, Marcia was married to William W. Coughlin in Earlville. He predeceased her on Oct. 2, 1971. Marcia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who maintained her home in the Sherburne Village for over 31 years, until moving to her son, Duane’s home this year. Her favorite past- time was playing cards.
Surviving are her children, Jesse and Dixie Miller of Hopkinsville, Kent.; Donald and Ellen Coughlin, Duane and Julie Coughlin, all of Sherburne; Penny Dewey of Bremerton, Wash.; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Coughlin of Leonardsville and Mrs. Betty Curry of Sherburne; a sister, Harriet Warren of New Berlin; 21 grandchildren, Shannon, Jody, Hans, Sean, Karen and Donald Miller; William, Jr, Peter and Paul Coughlin, Dotty Armstrong, Jennifer Wool, Cathy Phraner, Robert Coughlin, Lisa Bluy; Lori Coughlin, Todd, Jessica, Tonya and Douglas Dewey; Tyler and Taylor Coughlin; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, William R. and Robert A. Coughlin, a brother, Donald Hill and a sister, Dorothy Post.
Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
