NORWICH – Bruce J. Cramer, 83, of South Broad Street, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at the Norwich Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Norwich on Oct. 17, 1928, Bruce was the son of Jay D. and Ethel (Jones) Cramer. He graduated in 1947 from Norwich High School and in 1953 began working at the former General Laboratories Associates. He retired from Hercules/B.F. Goodrich in 1992 after over 39 years of service. He was a senior planner at the time of his retirement.

NORWICH – Jacob Joseph Mathey, 101, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Jacob was born Dec. 7, 1909 in Trenary, Mich., the son of Peter John and Dora Smits Mathey, who later moved to West Winfield. He married Doris Eileen Nichols, daughter of Dean and Ethel Sutphen Nichols of Leonardsville, on Aug. 26, 1936 at St. Joseph’s Parish in West Winfield. She passed away after 61 years of marriage on Aug. 9, 1997. They owned and operated a dairy farm on Route 12 near Poolville for many years. Jacob..

UNADILLA – Erma L. Noble, 77, of Unadilla, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 2, 2011, in the Binghamton General Hospital.
Memorial services for Erma will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev.Michael Willis, pastor of the Vestal United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Fridat from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

OXFORD – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dearly beloved mother, Lorraine Schank, on Thursday evening, Sept. 22, 2011 at about 10 p.m.
Having turned 92 last March 16th, she lived a long, full life, and will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
